In continuation to promoting sustainable development in Africa Communities, Pax Bonum Foundation for the Needy has reached collaboration with the European Organization News Agency, Global Times News Agency Europe, and Integrated Business School in the implementation of the Community Heroes Award by July 14th, 2022 at Delta State University Abraka.

Director-General Integrated Business School made available to newsmen on 19th May 2022 by the Executive Director Pax Bonum Foundation for the Needy, Very Rev. Fr. Paul Arinze Obi asserted that the annual Community Heroes Award recognizes people, groups, organizations, and businesses who have made a difference in our various communities.
The statement affirmed that ‘A Hero demonstrates how a person with passion and determination can use their life to make a difference or impart’. The event with the theme: “Be a Change Leader”, is envisaged to assemble global and local change-makers who want to improve their community contributions, leaders who have something to offer and don’t wait around for someone else to get the job done.
While urging credible and interested individuals, groups, businesses, and organizations to visit the Foundation Office at 14B Jehovah Street for the Nomination Form, Fr. Obi reiterated the Award categories and criteria for nomination, which are Business Contribution in the Community: designed to recognize local businesses that have demonstrated commitment to their local areas; Helping hands: designed to recognize individuals, who help to create stronger communities by supporting others to live happily.
More also, Lifetime Achievement: is designed to recognize those who have shown a long-term commitment to voluntary work and have made a significant contribution to their communities over ten or more years; Young Person Achievement: is designed to recognize the young people (under 18 years) who inspire and drive change in their communities, and who act as role models for their peers.
Then the Community Project of the Year: is designed to recognize the projects and initiatives that have improved our borough and helped its local communities; the Environmental Award: is designed to recognize individuals, projects, and groups that have made great strides toward tackling climate change and environmental issues, he added.
Very Rev. Fr. Obi maintained that an Honorary Doctoral Degree Award is incorporated into the program that will be conferred to deserving and special nominees with outstanding impacts, as nominations draw close on 20th June 2022.
