His funeral prayers will be offered on Sunday, January 26, at 1 pm after Zuhr prayers at Ghausiya Mosque, Abel Street, Burnley. On his death, MP Afzal Khan, Mayor of Pendle, Chaudhry Aslam Jowar, Mayor of Rochdale, Shakeel Ahmed, Mayor of Oldham, Dr. Zahid Chauhan, Community leader Chaudhry Latif, Former Mayor of Oldham, Atiq-ur-Rehman, Former Lord Mayor of Manchester, Councillor Naeem-ul-Hasan, Councillor Abid Chauhan, Councillor Yasmin Dar, Chairman of Jhelum Forum, Chaudhry Anwar Yaqoob, Former Candidate for Mayor of Greater Manchester, Chaudhry Aslam, Senior Journalist Chaudhry Ishaq, Arif Chaudhry, Ijaz Afzal Sheikh, Ghulam Mustafa, Wasim Chaudhry, Haroon Mirza and the community Expressed heartfelt condolences to Lord Wajid Khan on the death of his mother and prayed for her forgiveness.
