Razia Shamim MBI, Chairperson of Pakeeza Women Group, a pioneer in community service, organized a grand event at Castle Meer Hall, Rochdale, in collaboration with Imtiaz Ahmed and Hafiz Abdul Malik, to mark the New Year

The chairperson of Pakeeza Women Group, a pioneer in community services, Razia Shamim MBI, in collaboration with Imtiaz Ahmed and Center Manager Hafiz Abdul Malik, organized a grand event at Castle Meer Hall Rochdale on the occasion of the New Year. Mayor Rochdale Councillor Shakeel Ahmed and Council Leader Neil Emmott were present. Other participants included Deputy Mayor Councillor Janet Emsley, Councillor Arm Faisal, Councillor Shah Wazir, Councillor Chaudhry Arshad, Councillor Samina Zaheer, former Councillor Shefali Ahmed, Community Leader Ghulam-ur-Rasool Shahzad, and a large number of women participated. The program began with the recitation of the Holy Quran by Community Leader Hafiz Abdul Malik. On this occasion, Mayor Rochdale Councillor Shakeel Ahmed said that Pakeeza Women Group is having a New Year’s party today. It is due to the efforts of the group that women sitting at home are coming to the community center and participating in various activities. The credit for this goes to Razia Shamim and her team. -Rochdale Council Leader Councillor Neil Emmott and Deputy Mayor Councillor Janet Emsley said that the efforts of the Pakeeza Group for women are commendable – they should continue their work -Councillor Iram Faisal and former Councillor Shefali Ahmed also appreciated the work of the Pakeeza Group for local women – and wished everyone a Happy New Year -Councillor Shah Wazir and Councillor Samina Zaheer said that the Pakeeza Women Group organizes workshops for awareness campaigns for middle-aged women who are suffering from depression or various diseases, and the credit for this goes to the group’s spirit leader Razia Shamim -Imtiaz Ahmed said that the Pakeeza Women Group has been working for the welfare of women for many years -Last year too, we organized several workshops on the health issues faced by women and will do several new projects in the new year too -Community leader Ghulam Rasool Shahzad and others welcomed the Pakeeza Women Group Tribute to the work for women – Finally, Razia Shamim MBE, Chairperson of Pakeeza Group, thanked the women participating in the program and wished everyone a Happy New Year – She further said that I have been working for the community, especially women, for decades and Insha Allah, I will continue to do so as long as I have the courage.

The efforts of Pakeeza Women Group, established for the welfare of women, are appreciated within the community.
