In which the Mayor of Rochdale, Councillor Shakeel Ahmed, Deputy Leader of Rochdale Councillor Ali Adalat – Deputy Mayor. Councillor Janet Emzley, Cabinet Members Councillor Professor Iftikhar Ahmed, Councillor Shah Wazir – Councillor Iram Faisal – Councillor Amber Nisa – Councillor Manan Elahi, Councillor Farooq Ahmed – Community Leader Imtiaz – Senior GP Dr Abdul Ghafoor – Dr Abdul Shakoor – Center Manager Hafiz Abdul Malik – Malik Umar Farooq – – In addition to the participation of the interfaith community. Mayor of Rochdale Councillor Shakeel Ahmed said that the Pakeeza Women’s Group invited the interfaith community to the Iftar party and made them aware of the importance and benefits of the month of Ramadan. Deputy Mayor Councillor Janet Emsley and Councillor Iram Faisal said that they were delighted to break their fast with the women of the Pakeeza Women’s Group because as a group there should be mutual unity and agreement. Councillor Professor Iftikhar Ahmed said that breaking the fast with the interfaith community also makes the non-Muslim community aware of the benefits of fasting. Deputy Leader Rochdale Councillor Ali Adalat and Imtiaz said that Razia Shamim, Chief Executive of the Pakeeza Women’s Group, has the honour of working for the welfare of women throughout the year. We would like to thank her for her tireless work for the community. Deputy Mayor-designate Councillor Faisal Rana and Councillor Shah Wazir said that this is a good effort to invite the non-Muslim community for Iftar and make them aware of the importance and benefits of fasting. Razia Shamim, Chief Executive of the Pakiza Women’s Group, said that we started the Iftar with the interfaith community three years ago. Our effort is to create mutual unity and harmony within the intercultural and interfaith community living in Rochdale.

The efforts of the Pakiza Women’s Group, established for the welfare of women in Rochdale, to strengthen mutual unity, harmony and solidarity within the interfaith community are commendable.
