Global Times Media Europe Report,We, the officials of the protestant Christian religious communities operating in Azerbaijan, express the free will of the communities we lead, and the international public opinion of the political and religious leadership of Armenia regarding the peaceful protest action against environmental terrorism and illegal exploitation of natural resources on the lands of Azerbaijan where the Russian peacekeeping contingent was temporarily stationed during the post-war period. We strongly object to the propaganda campaign he is conducting in order to confuse and lead in the wrong direction.
We inform you that with the participation of representatives of non-governmental organizations of our country, intellectuals, young people, ecologists, journalists and volunteers, “End environmental terrorism!” The peaceful action organized under the slogan is taking place on the Khankendi-Lachin road passing through Shusha, which is the sovereign territory of Azerbaijan recognized by the international community. In this sense, it is absurd for the Armenian side to send protest letters and statements to the international community for the action organized within the borders of another country, and to express any attitude in general. In the last 30 years full of upheavals, scientific researches and analyzes carried out by various countries of the world are giving an SOS signal that humanity will soon face a big ecological crisis, while a group of Azerbaijanis in their ancestral lands “No to environmental terrorism!”
Despite the fact that the Azerbaijani side has repeatedly informed the world community about the consequences of Armenia’s policy of aggression, vandalism and environmental terrorism, no sanctions have been applied against the aggressor country, nor have any measures been taken. The facts revealed by the state of Azerbaijan after the great victory of the brave Azerbaijani Army are disgusting, it is a clear proof that Armenians are hostile not only to humanity, but also to nature. During the occupation, the flora and fauna of our country were severely damaged, hectares of land and forest strips were burned, water basins were poisoned, our cities and villages were razed to the ground, and the return of our people to their native lands is delayed due to the countless buried mines. After the war, hundreds of civilians became victims of mine terrorism. During the occupation, mosques, temples, cemeteries, historical monuments, museums, libraries were destroyed, looted, Albanian churches and Orthodox churches were destroyed or Gregorianized. However, for some reason, the countries and international organizations that behave like the gendarmes of the world do not “see” them, and label the peaceful action of Azerbaijanis against the looting of natural resources and damage to the environment as a “humanitarian crisis”. However, Azerbaijan has repeatedly stated that it is ready to promptly resolve the humanitarian problems and appeals of citizens of Armenian origin living in the Karabakh region, and even created a “hotline” for this purpose. On the other hand, it is also clear from the video footage taken for days from the place of the action that the protesters do not create any obstacles for the free movement of humanitarian trucks and ambulances, on the contrary, they create the necessary conditions. While all this is an indicator of the humanism, pacifism, and peaceful policy of the state leadership embedded in the genes of the Azerbaijani people, it is nothing but hypocrisy and hypocrisy for the Armenian church to tell the world that the action in question is part of Azerbaijan’s ethnic cleansing policy.
